Designed as a multigenerational farmstead, Grubbs Road Farm takes cues from the character and evolution of traditional farmhouse living. Although entirely new construction, the goal was to create a home that felt as though it had developed naturally over generations—layered, familiar, and rooted in place.

Rather than defaulting to a completely open floor plan, we created distinct rooms with their own identities, allowing each space to feel purposeful while remaining connected to the home as a whole. Thoughtfully placed flooring transitions reinforce that sense of history, subtly suggesting where one era of the house may have ended and another addition begun.

Traditional farmhouse references are woven throughout with a restrained hand, balancing character with the needs of modern family life. The result is a new home with an intentionally collected quality—designed to support multiple generations today while feeling as though it could have been part of the landscape for decades.
